ABOUT NZOHGROUP Inc.
In the heart of Africa’s ever expanding economic scene, a company called “NZOH and Company” sprung to life in 2015. With the ambitious goal of revolutionizing agriculture in Cameroon’s heavily impregnated tropical climate, Nzoh Ngandembou an MBA holder was inspired through a rich experience in Malaysia to embraced cutting-edge technologies like hydroponics and integrated farming to cultivate Cocoa in a sustainable and efficient manner.
Being the first son of a devoted environmental activist Chief Zachee Nzoh Ngandembou who fouded CERUT(Centre of environmental and rural transformation) in 1990 , he was able to rally rural communities especially farmers specialized in cocoa production and cultivation into small units (CIGs: Common initiative groups) to embrace his vision. Their journey wasn’t without challenges. The initial scepticisms towards these unconventional methods required them to prove their worth. However, NZOH & COMPANY’s commitment to quality and sustainability resonated with the rural man for the farmers realized their output increased and because it was organic the superior quality attracted higher prices in a world driven by conscious consumers.
As they flourished, NZOH & COMPANY’s mission expanded beyond just producing fresh Cocoa beans for the local market to exportation, transformation to secondary products, finance management and market place creation. They actively engaged in educating the community about the importance of sustainable agriculture and empowering homegrown farmers through workshops and mentorship programs.
Our activities diversified to meet the needs of our associates (farming families) to finance management for money generated from the sale of fresh produce had to be properly managed, and geared towards suitable endeavors. So we set up a Microfinance institution called NZOHCAPITAL (MFI) aimed at saving for farmers, provision of a market place that enable farmers get all their basic needs that they cannot produce at very competetive prices.
Our agricultural activities generated waste, recycling of these to organic agro-enhancers, disposables and producing energy etc led to the birth NZONERGY ltd.
An aggregation of these small institution formed NZOH GROUP INCORPORATED.
Today, NZOH GROUP stands as a beacon of innovation in Cameroon’s agricultural landscape with a registration of 220 CIGs and 5600 farmers specialized in cocoa cultivation. Their success story not only puts fresh, local produce on tables across the Country but also inspires a new generation of farmers to cultivate a more sustainable future. The head office is situated in Limbe whose initial activity was the establishment of a cocoa plantations, training and certification of local farmers, and import and export of cocoa and other marketable commodities.
